Social Media Reaction Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category than originally posted because of the remapping. The platform stated the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Measurement Approach Changes Before the change, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. User Accounts One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Necessary Adjustments Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the sizes on "every single listing". "For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she stated.
